A small image, quick and effective

I have to do a lot of testing in Virtual Desktop. It’s useful to be able to get a new image up and running quickly. Yes, I have dozens of workstation images ready to go but sometimes, you need a brand new image…
If you don’t have the time to invest in installing a Windows image or Linux image from scratch, here’s a good alternative.

TinyCore Builder allows you to fill out a simple form, and get a very compact bootable Linux image with the VMware View Client out the other end. The image provided is ideal for USB or PXE booting a repurposed PC against a VMware View environment.
